Literature and art against fascism. Theory-practice session.

Literature and art against fascism.
Theory-practice session.
Historical farce goes on. Seventy years after the Nazi hecatomb, fascists' followers parade down Polish streets. Some of them dream of the Wunderwafel, arranging swastikas of chocolate wafers on the Führer's birthday cake. This is no laughing matter, though. During the visit in Munich, the Polish Prime Minister lays flowers on the graves of Nazi collaborators. At the same time, the Lublin Voivode orders the dismantling of a plaque in honour of Rosa Luxemburg, a socialist activist and thinker of Jewish descent, murdered a hundred years ago by proto-Nazis. National art museums do not rush to commemorate the heroic fight against fascism. They play possum.
We have no choice. We must take matters into your own hands. The time has come to refresh memory and awaken political imagination. The grassroots forces of literature and art must work in synch with the rhythm of the present, contributing to the broad front of the struggle against fascism. The Consortium of Post-artistic Practices proposes to organize a nationwide coalition of anti-fascist (post)artistic initiatives that will work on the event to be held in September 2019. We are preparing an "intellectual leaven" in Poznań. An intense practical and theoretical program will focus on the philosophical genealogy of fascism. We will delve into its anti-women's underpinnings, look at a history of actions from the borderline of art and anti-fascism, and examine the current initiatives of institutions and artistic collectives. Everything will be done with an emphasis on practical applications of critical ideas.
